The label founder Room with a view, began to buy records in his childhood, and his interest in DJing came from the lessons taught by Pete Rock, DJ Premier and Gilles Peterson. As a result of the exposure to music, the Belgian Phil "Dairmount" Darimont plunged into the depths of black music, whether hip hop, funk, jazz and house. In the 90's got a strong recognition as a DJ and in a few years had kicked half of Europe, fondly remembers the Eskimo parties that formed part a long ago, before the explosion of popular this Belgian label. Dairmount is an artist "ever-changing and full of initiative." From Hamburg he entered into production. In the beginning with Smiles Ahead, David Alexander, Petter & Dairmount andRalf Petter; and later as a solo. His productions have been recognized by electronic music starlets like Laurent Garnier or Jazzanova. Almost nothing! Since 2009 he has been working on his dream, running a label: Room with a view, with producers like Art of Tones (aka Llorca), Basic Soul Unit or André Lodemann.
