Fred Everything

Fred Everything

From techno to house, going from ambient, drum and bass, soul, jazz… This is why he is called Everything.

The French-Canadian DJ and producer Fred Everything, is internationally known for his part in the deep waters of deep house. Since he was a very young child in Quebec, Fred showed a notable interest for editing techniques and synthesizers. In school, he would be part of several bands and would create music for plays, but it was the arrival of the Acid House movement, especially the productions from Warp Records, which would define his artistic career.

In 1993, he would debut as a DJ, warming up the engines for DJ Sacha. This is how he would inaugurate a reputable career, which would take him to conquer Montreal in very little time with the 20:20 Vision label, with which he would release 20 references, including the international hit “Under the sun”.

In 1997, he would cross the ocean and start conquering the old continent, from festival to festival, earning the trust of references such as Atjazz, Nigel Hayes and Bougie Soliterre, with whom he produced themes that would open up the doors to the electronic jet set of the moment. A little later, his revision of the Derrick Carter theme “Life is Like a Circle”, would give him popularity as a re-mixer, starting a successful sequence of re-mixes for artists like Mood 2 Swing, Dennis Ferrer, Derrick Carter, Missy Elliot and Curtis Mayfield, which would consolidate him as a master of the tracker universe.

Since then, his productions have appeared in more than 100 recompilations, which have been referred by Danny Tennaglia, Pete Tong, Ministry of Sound, Defected or Universal and he has appeared in MTV with his hit “Revolution”.

Today, he lives in San Francisco, working at the famous label Om Records, with which he just launched “Lost Toguether”, which is considered one of the most enjoyable house tracker projects for a long time, by DJ Magazine. From the gay city, he flies all voer the globe, agitating the clubs dance floors, such as Fabric, Back to Basics, Ministry of Sound, Cream, Basement Jaxx parties, Lazy Dog… and this week at Garito Café. From techno to house, going through ambient, drum and bass, soul, jazz… This is why he is called Everything.
