Alton has a very extensive history behind him; he is a veteran from the house’s most classic school. He was born and raised in Detroit (the city were techno-soul was born), cradle of Motown, the 80s techno and reference point to today’s electronic music. It was also in this city, where some of the most influential artists of the past years grew up, such as Derick May, Moodyman, Carl Craig and the one and only Alton Miller. Under the influence of Larry Levan and Frankie Knukles, Alton would publish his first project, with the legendary KMS label. After that, it would be important labels such as Planet E., Moods & Grooves, Guidance, KDJ, Peacefrog and F-COMM, the ones who would host his numerous projects. He was also part of the legendary Music Institute, alongside Chez Damier. During his sessions, which are mainly inspired by Chicago’s and Detroit’s house, he tries to make the listener move, both physically and emotionally.
