Alexi Delano

A perfect balance, between brilliant minimalism and obscure techno. (H. Productions – Nueva York / Stockholm)    

Alexi was born in Chile; he grew up in Stockholm and developed his work in New York. Curiously, it was during a trip to Spain in the early 80s, where he would discover electronic music. At the age of 15, he would be in charge of the microphones at a radio station in Sweden. It was in the mid 90s, when he decides to move to New York, in search of new horizons. Since then, he has been involved in many different productions and projects, under different aliases (ADNY, Leiva, Bob Brewthbaker…) and getting himself more into soulful, without forgetting about his techno influences, which helped him at first. His early work for the label of then debutant Steve Bug, Raw Elements and for Svek, Dessous, Wave, Turbo, F-Comm, Statra, Tangent Beats afterwards, need to be highlighted… After the release of successful albums for Earthtones and Plastic City, Alexi would produce for Turbo Recordings, which is one of his most important pieces of work: Selections 97-2000. After 2006, his co-productions with Santi Xpansul for Plus 8, Trapez, Truesoul and Leftroom need to be highlighted. Alexi has been able to move like a fish in the water, between soulful house, electronic house, acid house and techno.

Corría el 1866 cuando el samurai Sakamoto Ryōma se inspiró en la forma de asar la carne de los turistas europeos. Un toque de jenjibre por aquí, otro de vinagre por allá... y vualá: nació el Tataki.
