Kiko, is without a doubt, the most illustrious electronic ambassador of the islands. He began his career in the mythical discotheque from Palma named “Luna”, in the early 90s, while he was alops remixing and producing music for artists and local television shows. In 1997, he edited his first piece of work, “Elements Inc” and in 2000, he would start his own label, “Flamingo Discos” and would produce “Ritmo para Voce”, which would open the doors to the international house scene for him.
A year later, his famous recompilation would arrive, “The Latin Sound of Pacha”, which was the discotheque that he was responsible for nine years, with unforgettable parties and artists like Erick Morillo, Boris Dlugosh, Jamie Lewis, DJ Vibe, Smokin Jo’… Magazines like DJ Mag, Mix Mag, Ministry 7 Mag, Blues & Soul and Raveline would talk about Kiko and his sessions would begin to entertain international clubs like Pacha Ibiza and Cargo London.
With Pacha, he would edit other international drum works as well, like “Renaissance Presents Pacha Ibiza”or his first album “Perceptions”, which would be remixed by some of the best like DJ Spen, Jimpster and DJ Fudge, marking the beginning of a discography career with more than 30 references.
In 2008, he was booked by Ducati-Marlboro Moto GP Team as their official DJ for their tours and he would become Pacha Ibiza Resident DJ. Curious and multi disciplinary, Navarro has also had his success in radio; five years in Flaix FM, in the “Perceptions” of Loca FM and his show Danza FM, which was nominated three times for best radio show by Deejaymag Magazine.
His sessions are warm and refreshing as a summer evening, combining some of the latest releases with classics from the old school and influences of jazz, funk and soul. “The evolutions in my sets include deep house, garage, underground, latin, Detroit, disco, always trying to highlight the coolest side, without forgetting the most important part, that people do not stop dancing”.
