The great bands pioneers in the electronic sound, like Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk and New Order were probably responsible that Simón García decided to put the headphones on and become a dj. Also Simon, who was born at the end of the 70s, could not help but be tempted by the sound impacts represented by the Blaxplotation films soundtracks, taking as an example the classic "Shaft", and growing up surrounded by the latin-rock, rare disco, house and acid jazz at the time of his adolescence and irruption into the adult world, left a deep footprint in his musical unconscious.
He was also greatly influenced by classic labels of funk, soul and disco such as Capitol, Casablanca or Motown, and other more contemporary ones such as Daptone, Differ-Ant or Truth & Soul, as well as other electronic music labels, as Sonar Kollektiv, Peacefrog or Faces records.
With The Blaxploited Orchestra, Simon unleashes his blackest sound universe, confirmed by his releases ' Realize ' (Slow Town, 2012, including remixes of Norm Talley, the legend of Detroit, and the French S3A and Rhythm & Soul) and ' The Pursuit ' (Compost Disco , 2013, with remix of Good Guy Mikesh & Filburt).
In his sessions we can find from lysergic funk or seminal house, to Boogie and disco, offering a whole universe of rhythms and beats that have been a success in places such as Café Berlin, Populart Jazz Café, Discotizer at Marua, Sirocco or Moroder Sound Club , among others... and tonight, without fail, he’s coming to Garito.
